Feature Matrix

How Streamline Pet Solutions compares to every major grooming software platform — and why the gap it occupies is not being served by any of them.

Platform comparison

Every grooming management platform covers scheduling, payments, and client records. None of them touch SOPs, staff training content, or content licensing. The table below maps the full feature set across the six major platforms plus Streamline.

The white space

Zero grooming management platforms offer an SOP library, staff training content, or a content licensing model. Streamline is not in competition with MoeGo or Gingr — it occupies a layer above them. The B2B play is positioning Streamline's content as infrastructure that works alongside whatever scheduling software a groomer or franchise already uses. Integration, not displacement.

Why no platform fills this gap

Building a curated, cross-referenced SOP library for a single vertical requires deep domain expertise that software companies do not have. MoeGo was built by engineers for scheduling efficiency. Gingr optimizes for kennel throughput. None of their teams spent years running a grooming salon. Streamline's competitive moat is not technology — it is the knowledge embedded in the 150 procedures and the structure that makes them usable by any staff member at any experience level.

The B2B opportunity is real because franchisors face exactly this gap at scale. When a franchise with 70 vans needs to train a new operator on opening procedures, they have no Streamline equivalent — they have a static PDF manual and in-person training at opening. Versioning, acknowledgment tracking, and competency sign-offs are problems they cannot solve today.

Franchise B2B targets

The five highest-priority franchise brands for a B2B pilot, ranked by fit with Streamline's existing catalog:

Zoomin Groomin
Mobile van franchise
70–165 units (sources conflict)
High fit
Expansion-stage franchise actively adding franchisees. Mobile operations SOPs (Cat. 9) and Mobile Grooming Operations System ($21,995) map exactly to their operational needs.
Aussie Pet Mobile
Mobile van franchise
59 franchisees / 378 vans
High fit
Largest mobile fleet in the sector. Consistency across 378 dispersed vans is a persistent operations challenge. Direct fit for mobile + multi-location systems.
Groombar
Subscription grooming salon
160+ units
High fit
Subscription model aligns with Shannon's recurring-revenue goals. Relatively new brand likely still formalizing operating standards — easiest entry point for a first pilot.
Scenthound
Subscription dog wellness
56–148 units
Medium fit
Wellness-focused (coat, ears, nails, teeth) rather than full grooming. Already has a digital curriculum and training vendor from 2020. Harder entry, but possible once SPS has B2B proof.
Dogtopia
Daycare + grooming
~300 units
Lower priority
Grooming is an add-on, not their primary identity. At 300 units they likely have in-house operations teams. Better as a longer-term target after B2B model is proven.

Recommended vendor network candidates

Commission structure recommendation: start at 10% for product vendors (equipment, supplies), up to 15–20% for software vendors. Shannon's S1 proposed 20% across the board — that will face resistance from equipment suppliers where industry norms are 3–10%.
